Indian Agricultural Research Institute (IARI), popularly known as Pusa Institute, began in 1905 at Pusa (Bihar) with the generous grant of 30,000 pounds from an American philanthropist, Mr. Henry Phipps. The institute was then known as Agricultural Research Institute (ARI) which functioned with five departments, namely Agriculture, Cattle Breeding, Chemistry, Economic Botany and Mycology. Bacteriology unit was added in 1907. The name of ARI was changed to Imperial Institute of Agricultural Research in 1911 and, in 1919 it was renamed as Imperial Agricultural Research Institute. Following a devastating earth quake on 15th January 1934, the institute was shifted to Delhi on 29th July 1936. Post independence, the institute has been renamed as Indian Agricultural Research Institute (IARI)

Eligibility
- MSc/M.Tech/ME/MCA or Ph.D. in computer science/Information Technology/Data Analytics/Data Science/AI/ML/System or Data analysis/ Atmospheric Science/ or related/ equivalent with first class or OGPA >7.5 from a recognized university / institution.
- Master’s Degree in the above subject with 4 years / 5 years of Bachelor’s degree.
- Those with 3 years bachelor’s degree must have UGC/CSIR/ICAR-NET/MHRD-GATE qualification or Ph.D in any of above disciplines*

- Maximum age for SRF is 35 years (age relaxation of five years for SC/ST & women and three years for OBC) on the last date of application.

- The posts are purely temporary and will be filled on contractual basis till March 2025, and may

Tech.) in Remote Sensing & GIS / Geomatics / Geoinformatics/ Spatial Information/ Geophysics / Agricultural Physics / Natural Resources Management from a recognized university / institution with 4/5 years of Bachelor’s degree.
- Candidates having 3 years Bachelor’s degree and 2 years Master’s degree must have NET qualification*. Desirable: Experience / Knowledge of both GIS & Remote Sensing tools, GEE, Open source web Geovisualization, Programming in Python/R Post No. 3 SRF 1 37000/- +HRA Essential
- Post Graduate Degree (M.Sc.) inStatistics/Economics/Natural Resources Management from a recognized university /institution with a 4 years of Bachelor’s degree.
- Candidates having 3 years Bachelor’s degree and 2 years Master’s degree should have NET qualification*.
Desirable: Experience / Knowledge of data analysis, data extraction and meta-analysis, use of R, GIS Experience of data analysis, data extraction in R - software and knowledge of meta-analysis NET/equivalent certificate, degree certificate or provisional and a recent photograph must be enclosed.
